SPIED: Where Is The Ram 1500 Tradesman Sport?
Spy Photos & Video Hint Clues Of A New Entry-Level Ram 1500...

In May, 5thGenRams.com showcased some spy shots of a prototype 2019 Ram 1500. What made this all-new Ram 1500 so unique was it appeared to be a Tradesman with a Sport appearance package. While their are two Sport appearance package available on Big Horn (Lone Star) and Laramie models, this package would have replaced the affordable fourth generation Ram 1500 Express model.

For the past several years, Ram has been offering the very popular and affordable “Express” trim on their Ram 1500. The Express package features the 305 horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 standard (optional 5.7-liter HEMI V8), cloth split bench seating, body color front fascia and rear bumper, body color grille, ParkSense rear backup camera and 17-inch painted aluminum wheels (20-inch chrome clad aluminum wheels are optional). The truck offered customers a pickup with sporty looks with a budget friendly price

While many have questioned the spy photos being just a Big Horn Sport, there is some features that make it stand out over a Big Horn Sport model. First would have to be the door handles, on Big Horn Sport models the handles are painted in the truck’s exterior paint color. This Tradesman Sport still uses the Tradesman’s standard black door handles. Grilles are also slightly different with the Big Horn sport having the black slat inserts and the Tradesman Sport having a honeycomb insert.

When it debuts, it will be a popular package.

I like the honeycomb grille on this a lot better than the horizontal bars on the Big Horn Sport.

The package reminds me of the Sport model I had on my '97. Nice choice by Ram to offer it again.

Just needs this and it will be perfect.:D

There were 2 black ones on carguros for sale. I had posted them at 5th Gen Rams. Of course they sold and I didn't save the picture. There are a few of the Tradesman Black package for sale right now.

I couldn't find any other colors. This is what I am waiting to see more of, strictly for the increased payload.

It will be a great replacement for some of the DS models when they are discontinued.

Time is running out for the old DS... get the classic while you can...

That honeycomb is actually on all the models in the lower part of the grille of the Ram 1500.

Okay, so I figured out that the reason it has the bright wheels, is the offroad package.

But the one I found before didn't have the ORP and had the chrome badge and exhaust tips(98%sure) but of course it sold and now I can't locate it.

I like it. It should be priced at $24,000 at the most.

Eh Bob - think they'll offer the "Premium Lighting Group" on these? A Tradesman Sport with the LED lights is the perfect package. They'd sell like hot cakes for us now that the Tradesman interior is mint.

Yes, I agree. I like the new Rams allot but those standard bulb style headlights just don't look right. It's amazing what the LED lights do for the looks of these trucks. I wouldn't consider buying one of these without the LED's which of course cost more. Then again, maybe that's the plan all along.

Expecting $24,000 as the base MSRP for the all new 2019 truck is probably a bit unrealistic.

2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman Black Models Now Dealer Lots
More Affordable Sporty Option For The 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman...

2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman Black 4x4. (Bettenhausen CDJR).

On Friday, we posted an article asking where was the 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman Sport that we have been seeing testing on the streets of Metro Detroit for the past several month. Some of our forum members posted that they have seen a few Tradesman models with body-color grille, front and rear bumpers. However, none of the models we could find were equipped with 20-inch wheels like the prototype we showed you pictures of.

However, after doing some research and talking with some contacts we have some good information. While we haven’t seen a Tradesman Sport package similar to the one in the spy photos, Ram has been quietly letting a new trim package for the Tradesman slowly show up on dealer lots. Some 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman Black models have been showing up on lots the last couple of weeks
