    Thought a bit about this.

GM saves BILLIONS on a factory they don't want.

FCA gets that 3rd US Ram factory plus the historic stuff associated with that area.

Hamtramack and Sterling Heights become the main Ram plants with Warren Truck as a overflow.

GM kept Hamtramack just to keep FCA away.

Word is that FCA called GM about the plant.

GM can then use one of their other one shift plants in Michigan as the Electric vehicle place (Lake Orion?).

FCA would have to spend $$$ to convert over to a truck plant but so much great publicity.

    SHAP-450K
    HAMTRAMACK-350K
    WTAP- 100-20K overflow

    750-800k worldwide sales last year.

January/February 20 sales looked to 725-750k US sales.

    Let's get the Blue Oval.

I’m all for reinvesting in US manufacturing. Just read about Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (producer of AMD and Apple silicon at 5nm) announcing a 100,000 employee state of the art foundry in the Phoenix area. Excellent news, and I’m looking forward to Apple announcing greater in-shoring of manufacturing to minimize future global supply chain disruption. Perhaps not phone production, but compact and pro desktops.

Covid has been a hard lesson for the massive multinationals.

I thought the judge was reasonable.

Get in a room you two fools is what I read.

    Seems fair.

Actually both can help each other.

    FCA buys excess GM property.

    GM gets hard cold cash.

GM. They have less and less both workers and car Made in USA with each new year. It's the opposite for FCA.

Doesn't change the fact that FCA is expanding its production capacity in the USA, while GM is closing plants.

Reading the article, at one point is almost sounds like he is suggesting FCA's employees - and not GM - should be the ones suing FCA.

From my posts in the past I don't cut them much slack when it comes to product, but they are investing here. GM continues to shrink it's footprint. I wonder when they'll finally say enough? FCA, I worry tries to take on too much too fast because they're behind.
