    GM = enormous Fail. Pontiac, dead and gone. Oldsmobile dead and gone. Saturn, their new and improved idea for a car company to try to compete with the imports, dead and gone. And seems as though Buick is hanging around on life-support.

    Buick is only even around because it had an "above & beyond" reputation in China that had survived from the WWII days.

    Yes, Buick exists because of the Chinese market. A couple of its models were engineered by Opel (now gone), so even that's reduced.
