Will the "larger" injectors allow E85 to be used for the 100+ octane ?
Why would anyone serious about drag racing consider anything else? Think about what you would have to spend to get any other car up to this spec.
I'd imagine you could. Even if they don't explicitly say you can.
My understanding is that it was not specifically designed for E85
Generally speaking E85 comes with its own challenges and normally requires different tuning than high octane gasoline.
I prefer not to use E85. I get that it is cheaper than race gas but its just yucky stuff in my opinion.
Yup, another case of Allpar insiders being right on. Single tank and dual fuel pumps. Several of us also knew the switch would be exclusive to the ADR crate.
There is more to it than just that, yup, right on
So if the "base" Demon doesn't have the HO button, how do we get the two power levels?
Bob, can you buy the PCM separate for the DEmon down the road if there are no crates available?
From the SRT menu, like the Hellcat when using the red key.
(chuckle) The curtain was pulled back a hair more on hp and no one seemed to notice.
Darn it... what did I miss...
Yeah I just thought that someone was gonna freak, guess that should be me then.
OMG 1,0XX TO ALL 4 CORNERS+??? THIS THING IS GONNA BE A MONSTER
It's only one level of the multiple levels this car will put out... but glad to see people paying attention ; )
You deserve a big SLAP my friend... with the backhand. That's borderline going Negan on your butt with comments like that! lol.
No. Crate only as far as I know. It's part of what makes the crate so special.
its a 3k option but how limited will the crate be?
Someone had to lol
As far as I know there won't be a set limit on the Demon itself, but the crate will be the limited part. You have to remember the Demon will have specific options to it compared to the HELLCAT. Demon will have deleted back seat, dual fuel pumps, line lock, more standard horsepower, the drag radial 315s amongst other features that won't be available on the SRT HELLCAT nor the SRT HELLCAT widebody. Remember, even the SRT HELLCAT widebody will have 305 radials. So the Demon will be something special even without the crate. Also remember that the goodies in the crate are for off-road purposes only even though they don't void the warranty of the car. The reason why they're doing this is so the car can meet in emissions in all 50 states and doesn't have to go through other scrutiny to get to market including insurance premiums. So yes they're technically will be two versions of the Demon. Crate (1,XXX horsepower) and non crate (XXX horsepower). So when go back to the original name of the ADR (American Drag Racer) the crate is the full out Drag Racing king.
Ok how will it be determined if you can get a crate or not?
