Well, I was out yesterday looking to upgrade from my 2014 Laredo E to a limited with certain colors but to no avail. So I traded for a 2016 Dodge Journey R/T Redline 2. Nice machine for the equipment and easier to get in and out of than the Grand Cherokee. When company shows up again we will have the extra 3rd row seats this time. We skipped the sun roof this time as we almost never used here in Florida! This is another lease vehicle also. After 2 1/2 years only had 17,150 miles on it.

    nice choice!
Redline is a beautiful color. I've had two Challengers and the Durango R/T in that color.
The Challengers were Redline 3, which costs more but is a smoother paint than Redline 2.

Just hope it is as reliable as the Grand Cherokees we had. It sure won't tow as much, but that's what I have a truck for if needed.

    Very nice!!
Here in Canada Journey R/T is AWD but not in the U.S. from what I understand,
    Not that floridaman needs AWD!!
Interesting how Canadian vehicles are sometimes different is all I was getting at.

Thanks as you are right; not many on the lots here AWD. As you said, here in Florida don't need it unless you are a snowbird that travels into that nasty stuff often! R/Ts are hard to find here. Crossroads and SXTs are common.

Well, it's time to go back to the dealer for the tow hitch installation that was part of my purchase deal and we are getting another El Nino rainy day so far. This is just my back up vehicle as my pick up will be the primary tow vehicle. When stationed in Texas back in 2006, my brand new 2006 Dakota Sport CC V8 got smashed by a 10,000 lb tanker truck (Peterbilt) on the first week of June. In the body shop almost 3 months during prime fishing season and we couldn't tow the boat. No company would rent a vehicle to tow with a Cube van. So I had to buy a used vehicle for the meantime just to have a great summer. I worked out a deal with a Nissan dealer on a low mileage Xterra and sold later for our first 2009 Grand Cherokee. Since then, I always try and have a back vehicle with tow package. Boat, motor and trailer isn't more than 2400 lbs.
