They could use the 6.4/392 they just showed in the Wrangler in a lesser TRX. It's 450HP & 450 LBS TQ. That would be competitive with the F150 Raptor.

By that logic - you would put Dodge logos on Grand Cherokee SRT 392 and Trackhawk.

right lol i mean dang, Ram makes ONE performance model and all of a sudden, People think Ram shouldnt have a performance model cause Dodge whom has 3 Performance Trims per Model (WHAT? lol) should be the only performance brand of FCA.

Wasn't a second TRX model part of the plan? It's been so long since I've read up on this.

Personally, I wish they'd offer the 392 Hemi in the standard Ram 1500 Bighorn models. I'd be willing to pay a few thousand upcharge to get that engine in a truck that's more practical.

Accordingly to msn.com, all 702 launch edition TRX sold out in three hours.

Just to stir things, look at the front of the TRX, new Durango, and the upper models of the Charger, they all have very similar style grills. Time to fold Ram back into Dodge. So many people still call them Dodge trucks, or Dodge Ram including many parts sites. It is past time to restore the Ram back to its roots.

It'll be interesting to see if they really did, or if there are TRX Launch Editions sitting on dealer lots 12 months later never sold like what we saw with the Gladiator.

Is Ram switching to aluminum doors for all 1500s in 2021?

    TRX press release:

"The use of lightweight, high-strength aluminum closures, including the doors, hood and tailgate, help reduce weight and boost fuel economy."

FCA US Media - All-new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX: Quickest, Fastest and Most Powerful Mass-produced Truck in the World With 702-horsepower 6.2-liter Supercharged HEMI® V-8 Engine (at https://media.fcanorthamerica.com/newsrelease.do?id=21982&mid=1 )

    2019 Ram Allpar article:

"The body has also dropped by over a hundred pounds, with greater durability. Some materials include 210 (MPa) bake hard steel on the fenders, doors, and roof, and 340 (MPa) high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) in the bed."

    2019 Ram 1500 pickup trucks (DT): Making a top-rated pickup better (at https://www.allpar.com/trucks/ram/2018-1500.html )

Edit: it also uses new composite front fenders, which are different from the standard Ram but notable nonetheless.

I have a question for the experts around here. During the reveal it was noted that marker and clearance lights were required due to width. I know that commercial vehicles/trailers over 80" wide require them but is it a requirement for ALL vehicles? Can't find info on a GOOGLE search. If so, there may be some interesting requirements for modified pickups.

Does Ram have separate VINs or are they still Dodge VINs?
