Since there are obviously quite a few FCA employees and interested observers on the site, how do you see the upcoming negotiations working out? At least you have the benefit of being the last of the Big 3 to go to the table.

They've been talking since July. It is now November 20th, 3 days following the start of main table discussions, and we still don't have a tentative agreement nor is there anything in sight. No rumors, nothing. This may get ugly. GM strike ugly? No. But I don't think things are going smoothly at all.

The Union has to play hardball to cover itself for being corrupted the last time. Their all a bunch of crooks, the Corporation and the Union.

    Now I'm interested.

    What's the new Belvidere product?

My guess is that FCA has delayed the Chrysler version of the Grand Commander from China just for this. I could also see the Journey replacement based on Stelvio underpinnings going there as there isn’t currently a US plant running a Giorgio-based architecture. Yes, I know the next-gen GC will also be Giorgio-based and run at JNAP, but it isn’t YET.

Would the new product be enough to get Belvidere back to 3 shifts?

4.5 billion in new investments after the 4.5 billion already spent.

Saying 7900 jobs but with 6000 already from February looks like 1900 additional jobs.

It will be interesting to see all the details as they trickle out. Also it's 4.5 billion on top of 4.5 making 9 billion total investment.

Oh, things DID get ugly right at the last minute, but they got ironed out. We'll see what the membership thinks about it during the rollout.
