Any word on the rims?
.. wheels of what? e.O [i am not an insider. lol]
I just figured you might have heard from somewhere else...
lol, sorry; most of my info comes from the forums. You'd know if I did, when it comes to wheels.
I've had to upfit a Laramie a few times to look like a Sport with the EcoDiesel engine. The grille, bumpers, etc are not hard to swap. The interior, however, is a pain.
That's something I never even thought of. Do you have any pics?
You actually make changes to the interior on those?
I don't have any pics (I happen to think it's kinda stupid to Frankenstein a Laramie, but to each their own!) Yes the wood panels are not too tricky for even one of my techs to pop out and switch with the piano black of the Sport. That's the furthest we've gone on the interior.
Haven't we seen Sport mules running around with EcoDiesel badges? (A hint of good things to come?)
I'm also in the ranks of people that if I were to buy an EcoDiesel I'd prefer a Sport look over the Laramie look.
What I would like to see is the Sport trimmed extended to having both the Hemi and EcoDiesel available, however, the Sport trim could just be consolidated to being a "Sport Appearance" package available on Laramie and Big Horn with the key difference being cloth versus leather interior.
According the Feature Availability list released for the 2018 Ram 1500 Sport... it says the ECODiesel is optional for 2018.
Now that gives me hope for DT. Thanks!
Can I get a RedRiderBob stamp of approval on that also?
Not soon... just finished draft of upcoming Chrysler article.
Can you comment on the post I made about the wheels? Not sure if you know or are able to say yet.
Look at all the current spy shots...
If I was to guess.. Top Laramie Limited, middle 2 SLT and bottom Laramie, how close would I be?
Not bad. Except there is no SLT trim anymore... nor Outdoorsman since 2015.
2018 Big Horn/Lone Star
2018 Lone Star Silver
If you look on the inside of the wheel barrel, it look like it's going to be a cap on top of a steel wheel. See the separation of the color from black to a more grayish metal.
