Will we ever see another Chrysler (or any FCA US brand) convertible?

I had the half doors on my TJ. I got tired of the canvas doors with the plastic zip-up windows, but I couldn't afford full steel doors at the time, so I bought aftermarket fiberglass upper half doors. They had a sliding window, that when opened the wind would pretty much blow behind you as you drove...which kind of defeated the purpose of having the window opened. They were fine when I lived in Syracuse where it never got very warm, but in Philly (and with no A/C) it was brutal.

When I saw the half doors on JL, I liked them initially, and then it dredged up all sorts of bad memories. :p

"The dealer meeting, which was closed to the media, took place at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. It included addresses from FCA’s multiple brand heads as well as remarks by CEO Sergio Marchionne.

The Barracuda convertible and next-generation Dodge Charger will be based on the flexible rear-wheel-drive platform designed for the return of the Alfa Romeo Giulia, which was first shown in Italy in June. It is part of FCA’s roughly $6 billion investment to resurrect and grow the Alfa Romeo brand to 400,000 units worldwide by 2018."

Dodge Barracuda convertible, next-gen Charger among surprises for FCA dealers in Las Vegas (at http://www.autonews.com/article/20150826/OEM04/150829921/dodge-barracuda-convertible-next-gen-charger-among-surprises-for-fca )

We do know it won't be called Barracuda. Dodge was just feeling out feedback... but it will be a Challenger. Challenger name stays.
