That seems inline with what everyone has been saying. Official announcement solidify what people already knew.

I figured it would debut late next year as a 2020 model. But if it’s pushed back a few months to the beginning of 2020 as a 2021 model isn’t the end of the world.

When something is really good, and selling well there is great risk in changing it. Patient and caution is absolutely required.

Your limited to the basic design of the g cherokee but look at the Pacifica same basic and purpose of the caravan but WOW. What a dramatic differance. If they can come close that it will be a winner.

It's inline with what was being guessed. Milous runs wk2jeeps.com etc. So I would guess he is the authority regardless what other "guess".

Wow, it's strange to think of the JGC as "old" but I guess it really has been around for a long time now! I think it speaks to the great job FCA did with the styling in that they created such an enduring look. It doesn't feel dated at all.

It's not a guess. You should listen quarterly conference calls.

It's been known for a while that WL will not come before 2020. Presented in 2020. It was said by Sergio.

To me the styling is only just now beginning to age. Also I can't imagine the next generation will be too radical of a departure. I'd expect something akin to the JL versus the JK, in terms of familiarity.

Technically, I suppose it was really DCX that did the styling, but I agree that it has been remarkably timeless. I think, like the original XJ Cherokee, that the relative simplicity and utility of it’s lines really make for a durable style.

I think while the mid cycle refresh added a lot of features and updates that were positive, I didn't care for some of the minor styling updates on the front end. Specifically the lines below the headlights and how it changed the way the grill flowed into the fascia. It just detracted from the very muscular look of the vehicle. Other than that it's still a very stout looking SUV. They're incredibly common around these parts.

Sounds legit. Runs concurrent with the 2021 Durango (SD) production and the upcoming Grand Cherokee based three-row coming.

The WK2 has seen a lot more updates then any of the previous models. It may of been 10 years for the WK2 but lots of refinement in the process.

ARE YOU KIDDING? The Pacifica is still out sold by the Caravan, hardly call that a winner. If they brought back the Town and Country the Pacifica would just be a foot note.

This right here is the reason that they're going to have a hard time sales wise getting rid of the old products. Had they had the foresight to put just a tiny amount in the Journey and Grand Caravan sales would be more then they are now. It's kinda like incentives. Pretty soon though the majority of the lineup is going to be in that same boat. This is not an easy fix for them. It's like a dog chasing it's tail.
