We are in the Dodge display...
A pleasure to talk with @redriderbob before the rain came back
In case you missed the event
awsome! Tim k. Confirms demon stays exclusive and SOME demon tech will trickle down.
Told you nothing till 2019... but worth the wait!
Yup, I remember and believed. Just kinda cool from tim k. Few friends didn't believe it, Was nice to play that clip.
SRT HELLCAT widebody will offer enough drag racing tech to keep the non-Demon purchaser happy. SRT HELLCAT will get the rear end it deserves and it opens up new doors to the SRT392 owner to differ from the T/A and Scat Pack models. There might be no refresh, but the next two years will be full of goodies to hold out till 2021.
it was unfortunate that the Demon race got rained out. They were taking too long between runs, IMO.
Even though it was a street, they treated the track like it was a NHRA sectioned event. The problem was that Chevette rolled after the finished... they had to fix the track and it rained several times... it was still a good event.
Yes, a Chevrolet Chevette.
Here is a stock one...
Many people jam in RWD powertrains with big block power and they are stupid fast.
I was talking about the ehm.. celebrity tournament thing they streamed on facebook. They took too long between runs, whatever happened to the chevette, had been long over with by the time that came around. Then a heavy rain crossed the track & even with an hour or so of drying the road, they decided against letting the Demons run as it was still too wet for them to be comfortable. All but the run with the Demons had gone on. They used Hellcats for the rest of the tournament tho.
Oh I remember those things, just having a hard time imagining them on Woodward Ave.
I bet that car is quite an improvement over stock.
The Motor City Viper Owners at the Birmingham Masonic Lodge on Woodward.
The sights of Woodward...
Havent seen no boat driving on a trailer yet this year.
I sure hope Dodge finds a way and place to put up their display next year. Really missed that this year.
Agreed. And, I think we will, although I have nothing to base that information on
Realistically, M1 Concourse is the biggest/best venue to host what Dodge does, but it's so far removed from the main hub of Dream Cruise being between ~11 Mile and the triangle in Birmingham
Obviously you missed the biggest display on Woodward it was by Dodge... just happened a week before the cruise!
