2011 Dodge CUV on its way

by David Zatz on

Chrysler’s online web courses for dealer personnel seems to have changed someone; the Dodge Magnum has disappeared from the list, replaced by “2011 Dodge CUV Web Launch Course.” Other courses include the 2011 Chrysler 300, 2010 Ram Heavy Duty, 2011 Ram Chassis Cab, and 2011 Dodge Charger.

This may indicate that Dodge Magnum was actually considered for the Dodge version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, at one point apparently to be called the Durango. The final name appears to be either a matter of mystery – or simply withheld from dealers.

David Zatz founded Allpar in 1998 (based on a site he had begun in 1993-94), after years of writing reviews for retail trades. He has been quoted by the New York Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Detroit News, and USA Today. Before making Allpar a full-time career, he was a consultant in organizational psychology.
