Chrysler, Cummins renew contract

by David Zatz on

Chrysler Group and Indiana-based Cummins announced a “multi-year” extension of their current contract, which calls for Cummins to supply 6.7-liter turbo diesel engines for Dodge Ram pickups and chassis cabs.

While it appears that Cummins might not be supplying smaller diesels for Jeeps and lighter duty Dodge trucks, as originally planned, their engines are not being replaced by Iveco powerplants, either.

The Five Year Plan showed the engines remaining at roughly the same percentage of production through 2014.
