USA Today memorializes PT

by David Zatz on

The last PT Cruiser is to be built tomorrow, coincidentally the first day of Chryslers at Carlisle; USA Today ran an unusual article memorializing the car. Reporter Sharon Silke Carty reached out to owners (including Allpar’s Rich Hutchinson and David Zatz) rather than analysts, and her story reflects that, focusing on the de-contenting of the PT over the years rather than sharing the party line that it was too slow or “just a fad.” She also looked at sales data, showing an unusual amount of vigor in her investigation. Read it for yourself.
