Pentastar V6 makes Ward’s Ten Best list

by David Zatz on

The hot new Pentastar V6 engine has made Ward’s Top Ten list. The engine, engineered with direct injection and turbochargers in mind and using dual independent cam phasing, produces more power than existing Chrysler engines, with better gas mileage (when installed in similar vehicles), and a smoother, quieter idle and operation. The engine is to be used in a wide range of Chrysler vehicles next year, and replaces all corporate V6 engines.

The engine also uses an integrated exhaust manifold, chain drive, canister-free oil filter element (eliminating a large amount of landfill while making oil changes easier and safer), oil to antifreeze oil cooler in the “V,” and a lightweight high-pressure die-cast block. The engine was created to be affordable, yet provide high reliability and endurance with high performance and economy.

Pentastars.com recently added technical specifications to their in-depth Pentastar V6 page.
