Chrysler reducing fleet sales

by David Zatz on

Fred Diaz said that Chrysler intends to drop fleet sales to the industry average of 19% of sales, according to a Bloomberg article in Automotive News. Fleet sales dropped down to 25% of deliveries in December 2010 and January 2011, according to Edmunds.

The highest fleet sales in Chrysler’s recent history may have been 56% of deliveries in February 2010, Edmunds wrote. By November, it was down to 27%. Higher fleet sales were needed in the wake of bankruptcy, and in anticipation of greatly changed 2011 models.
