Dodge CEO: no wagons for now

by David Zatz on

Ralph Gilles told Allpar that he didn’t expect Dodge to do any wagons, in the United States at least, for the moment. “I am a big fan of the wagon, as you know with the Magnum. I really enjoyed that project way back when. It is interesting to me that Cadillac has a wagon now, Acura is bringing a wagon, a lot of people have brought wagons, Saab has always had wagons.” However, he said that the major sales are in crossovers: “… in America the wagon is kind of a tough proposition psychologically. … Unfortunately, we found that out in the Magnum. I personally love the format, so when the time is right we can do it, it is pretty easy to do but right now I don’t see it.”
