Chrysler to add new cam line in Michigan?

by David Zatz on

More sources have confirmed that Chrysler will indeed be adding new capacity to build their own camshafts for the Pentastar V6 at one of the Trenton Engine plants, within the next year.

The Pentastar V6 uses four cams, and production goals have been boosted far beyond the initial 440,000 per year. The addition will add or restore around 60-70 jobs, and will either augment or replace a Mexican supplier.
