Chrysler Canada today announced the best July sales in the Company’s history, reporting sales of 23,385 for the month of July 2011. Sales were up 5% over July 2010, and were the 20th consecutive month of year-over-year growth.

“We announced a Q2 adjusted net profit of $181 Million, a 30% increase in revenues to $13.7 billion, and now our strongest July sales in the 86 year history of Chrysler Canada,” said Reid Bigland, President and CEO of Chrysler Canada.

Dodge Charger set a monthly record of 913 sales, while Dodge Journey was once again Canada’s best selling crossover with a new sales record of 3,123 units. Jeep Wrangler rose 28% year to year (to 1,903 units), while Grand Cherokee more than doubled its July 2010 sales. Passenger car sales rose 33%. Fiat 500 sold surprisingly well, with 680 cars sold, beating the Chrysler 200 (up 36% over the Sebring’s July 2010 sales).

Ram remains the second best selling vehicle in Canada, with a 14% sales hike year to date; Grand Caravan is the #3 best seller, staying roughly even year to date; and Dodge Journey sales rose 50% year to date, 38% month to month.

Chrysler Canada does not publicly release full sales charts.
