Dan Knott, Chrysler's Senior Vice President of Purchasing and Supplier Quality, spoke to auto industry executives at the Center for Automotive Research 2011 Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, Michigan. Knott's topic was Chrysler’s supplier base and their direct link to the company’s accomplishments.

A native of Detroit, Knott has been with Chrysler since 1988 and took his current post in 2009. He is responsible for Chrysler's worldwide purchasing and supplier quality activities. Previously, he was the head of vehicle engineering with full responsibility for all current vehicles and development of future vehicles. He is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration.
