ESPN Jeep Ultimate Tailgate Experience kicks off this weekend

by Bill Cawthon on

Jeep is teaming up with ESPN for the “ESPN Jeep Ultimate Tailgate Experience,” a 10-city scheduled to visit college campuses across the country. This event takes the tailgating experience to the extreme and kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 10, at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, Indiana.

At each event, the Jeep brand will feature its vehicle lineup on a one-of-a-kind off-road course. Trained instructors will drive participants over the variety of surfaces on the courses. Attendees will learn to navigate off-road challenges, such as steep grades, rocky trails and log crossings, under the guidance of trained instructors. Product specialists also will be on hand to answer questions.

“The ‘ESPN Jeep Ultimate Tailgate Experience’ provides the perfect opportunity to showcase the entire Jeep vehicle lineup to a large and diverse group of consumers in a fun, outdoor setting – right where Jeep vehicles belong,” said Mike Manley – Jeep Brand President and CEO, Chrysler Group LLC. “Attendees can truly experience the Jeep lifestyle and its vehicles – including the new, more powerful and fuel-efficient Jeep Wrangler.”

Fans will also be able to participate in a giant-sized bean bag toss and football toss games for hundreds of prizes. Some locations will also feature ESPN radio presence as well as a live DJ. Participants will be eligible to win a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sahara in the ESPN Jeep Ultimate Tailgate Experience Sweepstakes.
