More Chrysler Mexico changes?

by David Zatz on

On October 12, 2011, Allpar broke the story that Victor Villanueva, head of Fiat Auto in Mexico, had left the company, and that his job would be split among three other people, all reporting to Ram and Chrysler Mexico head Fred Diaz.

The source who provided this information, now verified by Chrysler, also wrote that Roberto Guevara, long-time head of Mopar Mexico, was replaced last weekend by Romeo Rodriguez, who worked his way up from service to dealer development.

Patricia Gonzalez, reportedly a close friend of Victor Villanueva, has also allegedly been replaced as head of Mitsubishi Mexico; instead she will, according to the report, be responsible for dealer development.

According to rumor, an American will be imported to take charge of sales for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Mitsubishi, and Fiat in Mexico, to rebuild and resolve outstanding issues.
