Jeep launches Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

by David Zatz on

Not merely a sticker-and-paint upgrade, the 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk takes the award-winning luxury-utility and adds new Kevlar-reinforced “Silent Armor” tires and rock rail and underbody protection, along with standard offroad aids (Quadra-Lift air suspension, Selec-Terrain traction control, Hill Descent Control, functional tow hooks), and the usual cosmetic upgrades.  Hemi models get Quadra-Drive II and a rear limited-slip differential as well.

Allpar tested a Grand Cherokee Trailhawk off-road, with Jeep engineer Dave Vrabel; see the full story and test drive.
