Ram owners can slide and defrost

by David Zatz on

RamMan told us of a moderately minor upgrade: buyers of power sliding windows in the 2014 Ram 1500 can still get the rear defroster. Or, alternatively, buyers of the rear defroster can still get power sliding rear windows.

The 2014 Ram 1500 is expected to bring the VM diesel option and stop-start system announced when the 2013 models were launched.

RamMan also told us that (as previously reported) the 4.7 V8 is not returning, with the Hemi taking its place; a class-exclusive front parking assist system has joined the options lists; and Ram SLT buyers will get a standard UConnect 5.0 (which appears to be the Fiat-Microsoft design). Laramie Limited returns, with standard Hemi (optional diesel), eight-speed automatic, air suspension, 20-inch wheels, black leather seats, glossy black accents, keyless entry, and wheel to wheel side steps.
