EWE – GAG on these RAW option codes

by David Zatz on

Allpar source oh2o shared this list of unfortunate option codes, after some discussion of less-than-ideal names and body codes such as BK for the Dodge-Mexico version of Fiat Siena, named Dodge LX. He wrote, “Why they would use AWD for anything other than All Wheel Drive is beyond me.”

  • AWD – Super Track Pak
  • BAD – Alternator – 180 Amp
  • EGG – 3.5L V6 High Output 24V MPI Engine
  • EWE – 8.4L V10 SFI Engine
  • GAG – Fixed Glass
  • JAP – Instrument Panel
  • LAX – Front Passenger Seat Belt Alert
  • LAY – LED Stop/Turn/Tail Lamps
  • PEA – Chili Pepper Red Pearl Coat
  • RAW – AM/FM Cassette ETR Radio
  • RCA – 19 SPKRS SRT High Perf Audio
  • SUC – Telescoping Steering Column
  • TRY – P225/75R16 BSW All Season Tires

One has to TRY not to GAG on the BAD names given by LAX management to these RAW codes, which can SUC EGGs. In fairness, there are only 17,576 possible combinations of three letters… 39,304 if you allow the numbers 2 through 9 to be used as well.

Note: the image shows a Charger with the Super Track Pak.)
