Charger redux

by David Zatz on

2015 Dodge Charger rendering

As calendar-year 2014 draws closer, bringing with it the 90th anniversary of the first Chrysler car (made by Maxwell), 2015 Dodge Charger renderings are coming in hot-and-heavy. JackRatchett has refined his last rendering of the Charger, presenting a much less radical change than his Viper-inspired rendering or the two rumor-guided suzq044 portrayals shown earlier this week. The traditional Charger face remains, with a Ram-like mesh grille. The large lower air path provides cooling for the insanely powerful 6.2 liter supercharged Hemi (sources continue to claim it will outpower the Viper V10, at least in peak horsepower and torque; but Viper is much lighter and will remain quicker.)

The black roof and black hood section follow current styling trends and give the car a more sleek, sporty look.  Insiders have said that the headlights will get LED daytime running lights, which are rapidly becoming mandatory in the class. The rendering retains the crosshair grille, as suzq044’s did.
