New 200: price, photos, more

by David Zatz on

Several sources around the Web, starting with Jalopnik, have posted what they claim to be accidentally-revealed photos and information about the new 2015 Chrysler 200, well in advance of its official debut — including the ones above, discovered by Allpar forum reader “CabForward.”

The car will start at $22,695 (including destination), with the 184-horsepower TigerShark 2.4 liter four-cylinder. A 295-horsepower V6 (262 lb-ft) is also available, providing more power than the current 200 V6, though both are the same size and type. Both engines will be hooked up to a standard, class-exclusive nine-speed automatic, controlled by a rotary dial. Gas mileage peaks at 35 mpg, highway.

A new center console provides “pass through” storage space for driver and passengers, a storage station, and sliding cupholders. A new body shop and updated plant slash the energy required to build the 200 by 62%.
