Chrysler has top viral ad

by Bill Cawthon on

The big game is over, but Automotive News is reporting that Chrysler’s Super Bowl ads are currently racking up the clicks with “America’s Import,” featuring Bob Dylan, topping the charts.

Using data supplied by Visible Measures, an independent company that measures and analyzes video performance for brands and publishers, AN says the spot has received 10,137,204 views in the past week.

Previously the top spot, Volkswagen’s “Wings” commercial came in at No. 2 with 6,962,400, down 42% from the previous measurement on January 28. Like many commercials, “Wings” was actually shown on YouTube before the Super Bowl itself. Chrysler and Maserati’s ads were not shown until the game.

The Maserati “Strike” ad scored third on the week’s list with 5,859,636 views, and the Jeep “Restless” commercial was the last of the top ten with 2,842,673 views. Toyota’s ad, which featured the Muppets, did not make the top ten.
