The 200’s exterior designer

by David Zatz on

Retired Chrysler tech Marc Rozman pointed out that Canada’s Metro News did a profile on 2015 Chrysler 200 lead exterior designer Jeff Hammound recently. One of many designers invited to try creating the new car, key to Chrysler’s future success, Mr. Hammound had no idea at first that his work would be selected for further development. The Guelph (Ontario) native had penned the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and was promoted during the 200’s development to design manager, where he oversaw exterior design through to production.

In the brief article and interview, Mr. Hammound talked about how designers work, including dealing clay models and engineering and production constraints; and how people can become a designer. Original Metro story
