Official Renegade reveal

by David Zatz on

Jeep Renegade

The Jeep Renegade has been officially unveiled to the world — though the Geneva launch is still some time away.

With better approach, break over, and departure angles than the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, and the same  ground clearance, with a smaller footprint, the Renegade Trailhawk is likely to be capable of crossing the Rubicon Trail — and almost certainly has already been tested on Chrysler’s replica of the Rubicon as it stood in the days when every Jeep had to conquer the famed trail to wear the Jeep badge.  Most buyers are likely to buy Renegades with few off-road credentials, other than a strengthened body, but the Trailhawk will lend credibility to the rest of the line.

The full story, including comparisons to Cherokee Trailhawk, many photos, and the American and worldwide powertrain options, see our full 2015 Jeep Renegade story.
