Mopar in Canadian NASCAR, 2014-15

by David Zatz on

During a hectic off season, Mopar’s NCATS (Canadian NASCAR, or NASCAR Canadian Tire Series) dealt with new cars and a new number. This weekend, two-time NCATS champion Andrew Ranger will be behind the wheel of the #27 Mopar Dodge, looking for his third victory as the 2014 NCATS season begins on Sunday May 18.

Cars for the Quebec-born Ranger are being prepared by two-time series champ DJ Kennington (DJK Racing) and crew chief Bill Burns, who worked with Ranger during his championship seasons.

Last week at the Bowmanville, Ontario track, Ranger had his first opportunity to get behind the wheel; the team pronounced themselves 100% ready to open the season. Action begins at CTMP on Saturday May 17 with practice and qualifying; the race starts at 1:30PM Sunday afternoon.
