Grand Cherokee in Aussie Top Ten

by David Zatz on

The Jeep Grand Cherokee has hit the Top Ten best sellers in Australia for the first time, in May 2014 — with just 1,694 sales.  Grand Cherokee is #23 in US sales, and as “bestsellingcarsblog” reported, has not been in the USA top ten since 2005.

Australia’s two best sellers are Toyotas, the Corolla and Hilux (Tacoma), with 3,871 and 3,313 sales, respectively.  No Chrysler brand is in the top ten brands; Toyota is easily #1 at 17,246 sales, followed after a long gap by GM’s Holden at 9,012.

For the year to date, Jeep was up 31%, and is the best selling Fiat Chrysler brand in Australia with 8,758 sales. Dodge only sells the Journey (duplicated in the country by the Fiat Freemont) and Chrysler only the 300 and Voyager.
