New head of Chrysler Product Planning

benjamin-winterBen Winter is now Chrysler-NAFTA Head of Product Planning, responsible for research and planning of all future vehicles in North America; as part of this move, he is now part of the Chrysler Group Leadership Team.

Mr. Winter was promoted up from Vice President of Vehicle Engineering, after joining Chrysler in 2008 as chief engineer of minivans. He started out at Ford in 1985 as a senior engineer, and graduated from the University of Michigan with a doctorate in metallurgical engineering and masters degrees in business and metallurgical engineering; his undergraduate degree is from the University of Missouri.

David Zatz founded Allpar in 1998 (based on a site he had begun in 1993-94), after years of writing reviews for retail trades. He has been quoted by the New York Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Detroit News, and USA Today. Before making Allpar a full-time career, he was a consultant in organizational psychology.
