Viper homecoming

by David Zatz on

win-meIn July 1994, Chrysler invited Viper owners to Auburn Hills for the first Viper Homecoming.  The 20th Homecoming will take place next weekend, July 18-20, 2014,  for the Viper Owners Association’s first National Viper Event — the VOA Homecoming.  The group’s web site proclaimed, “Like the first Homecoming, this event is not a track-focused event, but a more intimate social gathering.”

The plan at this point includes a caravan from Dayton to Detroit, a tour of the Conner Avenue assembly plant, lunch with the assembly workers, a strolling dinner at the Chrysler Museum, a riverboat party, taking laps around the high-speed Chelsea oval course, test-drives of other SRT vehicles, an autocross, and the chance to win a new Launch Edition Viper.

The price for this three-day event, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, are $495 and $550 per person, for VOA Mamba and regular members. The Auburn Hills Marriott has a group rate of $99/night. Thanks, Viper Owners Association (VOA).
