A personal look at the new factory chief

by David Zatz on

John Floyd, of the Kokomo Perspective, wrote about new North American manufacturing head Brian Harlow, contrasting him with Dick Dauch, who held the same position in the 1970s — whose laissez-faire attitude to defects infuriated Lee Iacocca. Mr. Dauch later took over American Axle, first rescuing it and then moving most of its work to other countries.

Mr. Floyd wrote that “Brian gets results with a calm, assertive, and confident nature that leads employees to feel comfortable and respected,” and that his story was “Local boy makes those around him, and the communities he serves, good.” For more, see the original articleThanks, KCP Worker.
