Is this the Jeep pickup?

by David Zatz on

With all the talk of Ram pickups and vans this week, it seemed natural to bring up the Jeep Scrambler pickup, which has been discussed for years and years, with several concepts, teasers, and even a Jeep kit and a third-party vehicle, the AEV Brute.

Former Jeep engineer Bob Sheaves has looked at the challenges facing Chrysler if they try to add a Jeep pickup to the line, including plant speed. While the market has moved to four passenger, four door pickups, Jeep might not be able to do this without great expense and slowing down the entire factory, because the carriers would have to be made much longer. A regular cab seems more likely.

For more, including exports and likely production numbers, see our full Jeep pickup truck article.
