Chrysler: $25,000 to SAE Canada

by David Zatz on

The Chrysler Foundation has given $25,000 to the SAE Foundation Canada in to help advance math and science education through the “A World In Motion”® program. This helps to inspire and educate over 1,000 elementary and middle school students by teaching them critical math and science concepts in a hands-on, interactive program.

Reid Bigland, Chrysler Canada CEO, wrote, “Once a passion for these subjects is ignited in the students, it directly impacts the careers they choose.”

SAE International’s A World In Motion® (AWIM) is a teacher-administered, industry-volunteer-assisted program that brings science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education to life for students in kindergarten through grade 12. It incorporates physics, motion, flight, and electronics into age-appropriate hands-on activities, along with problem solving, analyzing and assimilating data and working in teams.
