Air Catcher = Hellcat tunnel

by David Zatz on

According to Mike V., the new Air Catcher trademark is for the air tunnel that leads from where the fog light normally is on the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.  Allpar itself printed this some time ago when Chrysler released detailed information on the car: “The Challenger SRT Hellcat also has an Air Catcher inlet port, which rams air directly into the engine air box through the driver-side parking lamp.”

The Air Catcher is relatively small, providing enough space around it for a chrome surround which mimics the look of the fog light on other Challengers.

David Zatz founded Allpar in 1998 (based on a site he had begun in 1993-94), after years of writing reviews for retail trades. He has been quoted by the New York Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Detroit News, and USA Today. Before making Allpar a full-time career, he was a consultant in organizational psychology.
