Chrysler in parking-lot demolition derby (Update/video)

by David Zatz on

crashA 92-year-old man in a Chrysler Pacifica was caught on video severely damaging several cars and a truck after he “became confused” (the man later said his foot became stuck on the accelerator; the Pacifica does allow one to easily shift to park or turn the key to shut the engine). The man’s license is being “reviewed” but he will not be charged as his behavior does not seem to have been malicious; the police in Wisconsin do not have the power to take away his license, but said they’d ask the motor vehicles division to retest his vision.  Of some interest is the small amount of visible damage to his Chrysler.   (Thanks, 55Plaza.)

Update: This is apparently a Wisconsin incident originally covered by NBC — see the original video
