Ignition Orange Rams (updated)

by David Zatz on

Today, reliable source “Ram man” told Allpar that Canadians can buy a new package titled “Ignition Orange,” built around the bright paint and selling for just under C$2,000.

Based on the V8 Ram 1500 Sport, the Ignition Orange package (code AMB) includes the unique paint, a “sport performance” hood with a Mopar decal, blacked-out badging (4×4, Ram 1500, Hemi, and Ram’s heads on the grille and tailgate), heated sport-mesh cloth seats with vinyl inserts,  heated steering wheel,  orange interior accents, and dual-zone, automatic climate control.

Ignition orange looks suspiciously similar to Header Orange in photos, but this may be an illusion. Maintaining color fidelity on computers is notoriously difficult, particularly for orange.

A similar package will be available for Americans starting with the upcoming order cycle, according to “Ryan.” Member “Moparian” said this morning that the package will debut at Daytona Bike week for $1595 (list price) on the Crew Cab Sport.

The Ram 1500 Sport sits above Big Horn but below Outdoorsman and Laramie, and retails at US$36,650, including destination.
