No reunion for Dodge and Ram

by David Zatz on

Ram will stay separate from Dodge, according to Allpar’s interview with Ram CEO Bob Hegbloom.

In the interview, posted today, Mr. Hegbloom simply said, “No,” in response to a question asking if the brands would get back together.

Mr. Hegbloom clarified that the brands separated so they could each focus on their individual needs. Thus, Sam Elliott is  the voice of Ram, “from the research that we’ve done, a perfect fit for the Ram brand.”

Meanwhile, Dodge uses Gas Monkey Garage, Will Ferrell, and other spokesmen: “It works for that brand and where they want to be, youthful energy, power, whereas we are authentic and true to who we are even down to our spokespeople… It works for both of us, the identity, the separation.”
