NYC’s Camp Jeep (video)

Camp Jeep in New York

Jeep has had a outdoor demonstration track at the New York Auto Show for the past few years, letting people ride along with professional drivers as they go over a 30° ramp, up uneven tracks, then up a 35°, 18-foot-high ramp, and across stumps and logs.  Participants said they enjoyed the experience, and it shows the strength of Jeep bodies while providing a comparison of the all-out Wrangler with the more road-oriented vehicles.

This year, Jeep is showing off the Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Renegade, and Wrangler. The vehicles were in use full-time during both press days, save for the Grand Cherokee, which was not used until mid-day on the first day.
