2016 Dodge Viper Pricing Leaked

by David Zatz on

The unique, nearly hand-made sports-muscle car will not have a price increase for 2016, according to sources at Dodge.  Viper will get a $500 increase in its destination charge, which is already higher than other Dodge cars; it will now be $2,495, rather than the usual $995.

The Dodge Viper’s U.S. list price was dropped by $15,000 last year. Some speculated that, when Dodge withdrew from racing the car, the cost of the racing program was taken out of the price. Regardless of the cause, Vipers saw a sales boost when the price was cut below six figures.

The SRT will start out at $87,490, including destination, with the GT and GTC each adding a neat $10,000 (the GT and “one of one” customized GTC have the same price). At the top of the line, the GTS will cost $110,490, including destination. (The cost in Hawaii is another $50, and these prices exclude the gas-guzzler tax.)

The numbers are introductory pricing for the 2016 Dodge Viper, and are subject to change. The “one of one” Custom Viper program will continue.

Every Dodge Viper has had a manual transmission and V-10 engine, since the car was launched in January 1992.
