According to Automotive News, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram will cap their powertrain warranties at 60,000 miles for the 2016 model year, cutting back from the current five years or 100,000 miles.

The change applies only to vehicles equipped with gasoline engines; diesels, Fiats, and Alfa Romeos are not included. Nor is the current three-year or 36,000 miles bumper-to-bumper warranty changed.

Larry Vellequette's article in Automotive News cited a statement from FCA:
“Following changes already made by competitors, FCA US is adjusting powertrain warranty coverage for 2016 model year vehicles to be more consistent with industry practices. For 2016 [model year], Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram Truck vehicles with gasoline engines will be covered by a 5-year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty.”
General Motors already cut its 2016 model year Chevrolet and GMC warranties in March, citing lack of consumer interest, though the upscale Buick and Cadillac have a six-year or 70,000-mile powertrain warranty. Over in Dearborn, Ford has a five-year or 60,000-mile powertrain warranty and Lincoln has a six-year or 70,000-mile warranty. These are all in addition to standard “limited bumper to bumper” warrantees.
