“Chrysler Warranty” Scam Warning

by David Zatz on

A group insisting to be “Chrysler warranty services” is calling owners  to sell extended warranties which might or might not be valid. The group claims to be in Southern California, and has a 210 area code. The phone number is listed on some nuisance call web sites.

Chrysler Service Contracts, which also cover Ram, Dodge, and Jeep, does not call customers to sell extended warranties; they are headquartered in Michigan.

Customers buy extended warranties from dealers, not necessarily the one they purchased the car from, and there may be variations in pricing.

Google serves up a “Chrysler Warranty Direct” site when searching for “Chrysler service contracts.” This appears to be a dealer site, from Hudson, Michigan, rather than a corporate site.
