Ram Rebel, Laramie Limited prices and availability

by Bill Cawthon on

Ram Truck has released pricing for the 2015½ Ram 1500 Rebel and Ram 1500 Laramie Limited.

The Rebel made its debut at this year’s Detroit auto show in January while the Laramie Limited was revealed a month later in Chicago.

Both trucks initially will be sold only as Ram 1500s as Crew Cabs only. The Laramie Limited 2500 / 3500 will appear in the next model year. (There is already a Laramie Limited, which is also a Crew Cab.)

The Rebel will have a base price of $42,790. Designed for off-roading, it has higher riding clearance in normal mode, and comes  with 33-inch Toyo tires on new 17-inch wheels, with skid plates and tow hooks. The truck has a new powder-coated black front bumper. Inside, the heated front seats are done in Radar Red-and-black embossed with the Toyo tire tread design, the Ram’s head logo embroidered on the headrests, and the “Rebel” name embroidered in light gray on the upper seat bolsters.

Both trucks have a prominent bright “RAM” letter badge that has led some to believe that Ram is abandoning the traditional crosshair grille to distance itself from Dodge; in an interview with Allpar, the lead of exterior design said they were looking for a unique look, apart from other Rams, so it may not indicate any sea changes.

The upscale Laramie Limited will start at $50,675, which gets the buyer more chrome accents, black Argento wood, and black leather seating, as well as another new grille configuration and a bold chrome “RAM” on the tailgate. The Laramie Limited comes with new 20-inch forged wheels that Ram says are an industry exclusive.

Ram is positioning the Laramie as a more “formal” version of the Laramie Longhorn: think black tie instead of bolo tie.

Both trucks get a new all-black headliner-and-pillars combination.

Both the Rebel and Laramie Limited are scheduled to be available in July and will continue through the 2016 model year.
