See the Mopars in Forza Motorsport 6

by Patrick Rall on

The racing simulator Forza Motorsport 6 will debut for Xbox One on September 15. It will include a long list of Mopars, led by the mighty Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat – making the debut of the Hellcat in the video game world.

The entire car list has not been announced, but the company has been issuing releases each week with large batches of vehicles that will be included in the Forza 6; among the few hundred cars, trucks and SUVs already announced, there are 49 FCA vehicles, with the Hellcat Challenger honored as one of the special “Team Forza” cars (as shown below in blue).

The list of FCA vehicles already shown includes 20 Ferraris, 6 Alfa Romeos, 6 Maseratis, one Fiat, and 16 Mopars from past and present.

From the modern Mopar world, we get our first chance to drive the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in the virtual world. Those who preorder the game from GameStop will get the special Team Forza Challenger Hellcat, which has a unique look and unique “stock” performance features.

There is also the 2013 SRT Viper GTS (available from select retailers as a Team Forza bonus car), the 2013 SRT Viper #91 GTS-R race car, and the 2013 Ram Runner Ram 1500. Joining the newest Viper are two other classic Vipers, including the 1999 Viper GTS ACR and the 2008 Viper SRT10 ACR.

From the era of the classic American muscle cars, Forza Motorsport 6 will include the 1969 Dodge Charger, the 1970 AMX Rebel, the 1971 AMX Javelin, the 1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda, and the 1971 Plymouth GTX Hemi.  Bridging the gap between the muscle car era and the modern era are the 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX and the 1998 Eagle Talon TSI Turbo.  The only Jeep in the lineup thus far is a 1945 Willys MB.
