Renegade rocks in Europe

With more than 5,400 registrations, the Jeep Renegade was one of the top ten small SUVs in Europe last month.

The newest member of the family drove Jeep’s European sales up 176% for the month of June. Jeep brand is now 174% ahead of the first six months of 2014 and leads all other brands in sales gains.


Jeep’s share of the European market increased 142% compared to June 2014.

Looking at the last three Junes, the additions of the Cherokee and Renegade have driven Jeep brand deliveries up 358% and market share has grown 287% since June 2013.

Jeep registrations soared in each of the five major European markets. They were up 309% in Italy, 53% in Germany, 491% in France, 161% in the United Kingdom and 358% in Spain.

For the first six months of 2015, the additional Jeep sales accounted for 54% of the increase in total Fiat Chrysler volume.

Fiat brand sales also outperformed the market in June, rising 15% compared to a 14% increase in total June volume. The 500X, the Fiat clone of the Jeep Renegade, was also a big player with 7,600 sales. The two Melfi-built SUVs made up nearly 15% of all FCA registrations last month.

The Fiat 500 was the best-selling vehicle in its segment with more than 19,200 deliveries. The Cinquecento has now passed the 100,000-unit mark in total 2015 sales.
