Allpar NJ show held, rain absent

by David Zatz on

Allpar held its “normally annual” New Jersey meet yesterday, missing rain storms largely by luck as nearby towns were deluged. The temperature held at a moderate level, with mild cloud coverage over Teterboro Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-Ram for most of the day.

The show concluded fairly early, at 1:30 pm rather than the scheduled 3:00 pm, but even at 4 pm, the Little Ferry location saw no rain. Fifty cars arrived, including all but four of pre-registrants, ranging from a 1922 Dodge Brothers touring car to 2015 Dodges. There were several “adopted” cars including two Renaults, a SIMCA, and an AMC AMX. Modified cars included a Dodge Dart GT, 1,000-horsepower V10-powered Ram, and an SRT-Hemi-powered Jeep Liberty.

Trophy winners will be announced with more photos and videos in our full coverage, scheduled for one week from Monday.
