New Mopar-Jeeps in Germany

by David Zatz on

Mopar and Jeep launched three new show cars at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Sunriser uses matte orange paint (hence the name), bumpers with a double tow hook on the front, a four-inch suspension lift kit, half doors, and LED lights fitted between the A-pillar and windscreen. LEDs are also used for the daytime running lights and rear light clusters. The interior has black leather with matte fluorescent orange trim. The car has beadlock wheels, which fix the tire bead to the rim to prevent unintended tire removal, especially when running with very low pressure to tackle  rocks, sand, and mud. The Sunriser is powered by a VM 2.8 diesel engine.

The Jeep Cherokee KrawLer (the K and L in KrawLer are for the KL  body used) lifts the Cherokee with a special suspension, 255/80/17 off-road tires, wider fenders, skid plates, and rock rails. The color is a matte green, with a grey interior. The engine is the V6 with an automatic and an AWD setup with four-wheel drive, low range, and rear differential lock.

The Jeep Renegade Trailhawk is “Moparized” with 17-inch rims,  skid plates, two rear tow hooks, and black mirror caps. There are also interior Mopar parts.

The show cars were customized using parts available through Mopar.
